Patrick began his craft as a luthier after befriending master violinmaker Jules Azzi. Discovering an interest in the centuries old tradition of the Italian masters, he began studying under Azzi. With the instruments of Stradavarius, Amati, Guadagnini, Degani, and others as examples, he observed the qualities of supreme sound and form coupled with aesthetic expression and artistry. Now the proprietor of his own shop in Bellevue, KY. Patrick continues to advance his expertise through repair and restoration of instruments. Additionally, he continues to build an inventory of his own works. His customers include members of the orchestras of Cincinnati and West Virginia, as well as students from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Miami University.
